Prince Andrew’s family have been seen enjoying their skiing holiday at his exclusive £17m Swiss chalet while the Duke keeps a low profile in Windsor.

They celebrated the New Year together at the Duke of York’s £17million luxury chalet that overlooks the resort.

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was seen hitting the slopes with Princess Beatrice and son-in-law Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The newly-weds were joined in the Swiss resort of Verbier with Edo’s five-year-old son Christopher Wolfe as well as Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Pictures obtained by The Daily Mail showed the family looking happy and carefree on their break.

It comes as Prince Andrew is preparing for a court hearing Tuesday in New York in the civil case being brought against him by Virginia Giuffre who accuses him of sexual assault.

The 38-year-old claims she was trafficked by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein for sex with Prince Andrew and she is seeking unspecified damages over the alleged abuse. The duke denies the allegations.

The hearing will determine whether the case can proceed. Lawyers acting for Prince Andrew will make an argument for the case to be dismissed.

They had previously argued in court filings that Ms Giuffre could not file the claim in New York, saying she is normally resident in Australia.

This was disputed by counsel for Ms Giuffre, and was rejected by a judge on Saturday.

A confidential settlement between Epstein and Ms Giuffre, which has been billed as being potentially decisive in the case between her and the Duke of York, was due to be released on Monday.

The 2009 agreement is due to be released following an order by US judges.

Last Thursday, Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty last week of grooming underage girls who were then sexually abused by her ex-boyfriend Epstein.

Epstein died by suicide in his cell while awaiting his own trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019.
