Ferencvaros have issued a Europa League statement of intent by landing Champions League winner Marko Marin on a free transfer.
The Hungarian team are one of Celtic 's opponents in Group G and lost their opening game to Bayer Leverkusen while the Hoops fell to Real Betis.
But they have been putting their Euro cash to good use after signing former Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic on Friday.
They have followed that up with another impressive deal as ex Chelsea and Sevilla star Marin arrives on a free transfer, although with the deadline to register players for the group stage having passed, it seems they won't be cleared to take on the Hoops.
The 32-year-old has enjoyed something of a nomadic career and most recently ran out for Saudi side Al Ahli.
He was on Chelsea's books as recently as 2016 and prior to that he was one of German football's most promising talents, though there's a sense his true potential hasn't been realised.
He earned 16 caps for the national team before his move to the English Premier League which set Chelsea back £7m.
But he only managed a handful of appearances for the Blues as he spent the majority of his career out on loan with the likes of Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.
The upcoming clashes are replays of last year's one-legged Champions League qualifier, which saw the Hungarians progress 2-1.
