Two members of the Gardai were assaulted on Tuesday in separate attacks in Dundalk, Co Louth.
A female Garda needed hospital treatment after a driver at a checkpoint became abusive and assaulted the officer.
She was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where she was treated for minor injuries.
A man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
In a second separate incident, a Garda received minor injuries after arriving to the scene of a public order incident in Coes Road, Dundalk.
During the course of the incident, a man aged in his 30s became abusive and assaulted a Garda member.
The Garda member received minor injuries and didn’t require medical attention.
A man was arrested and charged in relation to this incident.
