An injured cop was taken to hospital after a fight at a funeral wake spilled out onto the street.
The incident started inside The Last Post pub, in County Square , just after 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A number of customers had been at a funeral earlier in the day.
A fight spilled out onto County Square and two passing officers who were on patrol tried to break it up.
Due to the level of violence , they called for back up .
A number of cop cars then raced to the scene to stop the rammy.
In the brawl, a female officer was injured and taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment before being released.
Four men were arrested at the scene and were due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday.
Community Inspector, Tracy Harkins, said: “This was a fight involving a number of males outside The Last Post .
“Police officers who were passing on patrol saw the incident. Due to the level of disturbance, they put out an urgent call for assistance.
“A number of vehicles and officers then attended the scene.
“A female officer received an injury to the head during the incident .
“She was taken to the RAH for treatment and later released. Four males were arrested in connection with the incident.”
