Female biker seriously injured following horror road crash on Scots road

A female motorcyclist has been injured following a road crash on a Scots road.

The collision between the motorbike and a car occurred on the A713 near Drongan, East Ayrshire at around 6.10pm on Monday July 26.

Police were called to the scene and the ambulance service, including what is thought to be an air ambulance, were also seen there.

Emergency services are attending to the female motorcyclist and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.10pm on Monday, 26 July, police were called to a road crash involving a motorbike and car on the A713 near Drongan.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the female motorcyclist has been injured. Enquiries are continuing."

It comes just a day after police locked down the A713 near Loch Ken Holiday Park near Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway following a crash.

It also follows a road crash on the road last week where two men died near Patna in East Ayrshire and a woman was left with serious injuries.
