Feltham murder probe: Three arrested after teenager, 18, stabbed to death in west London

Three people have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed to death near a high street in west London.

Emergency services were called to Victoria Road, off Feltham’s high street, at around 5pm on Monday evening to reports of a stabbing.

An 18-year-old man was found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was later pronounced dead.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by police, who have launched a murder investigation.

Met Police said two 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Monday and Tuesday.

They both remain in police custody.

The GBH arrest relates to an allegation of assault on one of the 16-year-old boys arrested, Met Police said.

The boy was treated for minor injuries before being arrested.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “Firstly, I would like to share my deepest condolences with the victim’s friends and family during this hugely difficult time.

“We understand that this incident has been distressing for the local community. I want to reassure the public that this investigation is a priority for us and I hope it offers some reassurance to know we have made three arrests.

“Residents may see an increased police presence in the area as we undertake further enquires, however at this time we are confident there is no risk to the local community.”

Hounslow Council Leader Councillor Shantanu Rajawat said: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the shocking stabbing in Feltham yesterday.

“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “At around 17:00hrs on Monday, 12 January police responded to reports of a stabbing on Victoria Road, Feltham.

“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance Service and treated a 18-year-old for stab wounds. He was taken to hospital, where despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was sadly pronounced dead.

“His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

“At this early stage no arrests have been made. A crime scene is in place and officers remain in the area while they carry out further enquiries.”
