Antoine Griezmann’s departure from Atletico Madrid has already been announced but his expected move to Barcelona has now been delayed for a few weeks.
It has caused confusion for some and even led to links with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain instead, but now reports suggest that the reason behind the delay is the details in his release clause.
Barcelona are said to be waiting until July 1 for a release clause of £107m to kick in so they can acquire his services. It’s believed that the Frenchman agreed personal terms as far back as two months ago.

Former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko could be set to join Inter Milan.

Fekir latest amid Liverpool links
Nabil Fekir might finally leave Lyon with reports in Italy suggesting that AC Milan are interested in signing the Frenchman.
Fekir came close to a £35m move to Liverpool last summer but the deal fell through due to medical issues, with the player even pictured in a Reds' shirt.
CalcioMercato.com now claims that Milan are keen to complete a deal said to be worth £26.7million for the 25-year-old.
Arsenal eye Tierney back-up
Arsenal may move for AC Milan full-back Ricardo Rodriguez if they fail to agree a deal for Kieran Tierney.
That is according to Calciomercato, who claim Milan will look to offset the signing of Real Madrid’s Theo Hernandez by listening to offers for Swiss international.
