Feeder to perform homecoming show in Newport's Tredegar Park

One of Newport's biggest bands will be returning home this summer for a gig in one of the city's most-loved locations.

Feeder has announced the band is coming home to perform in Tredegar Park on July 9 , supported by a host of other artists.

The gig marks a homecoming for frontman Grant Nicholas and bass player Taka Hirose, bringing Feeder back to where it all began 26 years ago.

Since forming in 1994, Feeder have released ten studio albums, including Echo Park, Comfort of Sound and Renegades, and are responsible for rock anthems including ‘Just the Way I'm Feeling’, ‘Tumble and Fall’, ‘Just a Day’, ‘Feeling a Moment’ and ‘Buck Rodgers’.

The Newport band's ninth album All Bright Electric came out in 2016 and the band released their most recent album Tallulah in 2019, including singles 'Fear of Flying', 'Youth', 'Daily Habit' and 'Blue Sky Blue.'

Support for the homecoming will come from special guests Brighton indie band The Magic Gang, as well as two other Welsh artists - retro rockers Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and disco-infused blues rock from Tom Auton & the Bottle Breakers.

The outdoor gig will be as Covid-compliant as possible, with the reduced capacity show allowing just 3,000 tickets to be sold for the 10,000-capacity space.

Tickets will go on general sale from 10am on Tuesday, May 4 and you can book yours here.
