An additional $1.3 billion in federal funding for West Australian road and rail projects will support more than 4000 jobs, the Morrison government says.
The package, to be included next week's federal budget, includes $347 million towards the vast Metronet rail network.
Other projects targeted include upgrades to Great Eastern Highway and Reid Highway and the Perth Airport precinct.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the infrastructure spend would help to build WA's economic recovery.
"This includes supporting more than 4,000 direct and indirect jobs in WA over the life of the new projects announced through the budget, boosting businesses and communities as part of the government's national economic recovery plan," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
The package includes $55 million for the Mandurah estuary bridge duplication promised by Labor at the March election.
WA Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said the funding would help to ensure there was reliable infrastructure work for years to come.
"This is making sure we don't see the up-and-down funding that occurred maybe six or seven years ago," she told reporters.
"This is all about making sure we have a pipeline of work."
Ms Saffioti said an update on the $1.9 billion Perth Airport rail link would be provided within the next week amid reports its opening could be delayed until 2022.
