Fedor Chalov talks detailed as Luka Milivojevic makes admission about Man United midfielder

Chalov open to Palace switch

Crystal Palace are reportedly still on the trail of CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov, after being linked with him during the January transfer window.

Roy Hodgson was rumoured to be tracking the Russian international prior to the loan signing of Cent Tosun from Everton.

But Chalov’s agent has confirmed he is still in contact with Hodgson, and the club could make a £25million move this summer, according to reports.

The 21-year old enjoyed an excellent return of 15 goals in 30 appearances in 2018-19, but his form has dipped this season, with just five league goals in 22 games.

Jordan slams ex-Palace striker

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has named ex-Eagles’ striker Jon Macken as one of the worst signings as part of an interview with talkSPORT.

Palace paid £1.1million to sign Macken from Manchester City following their Premier League relegation at the end of the 2004-05 season.

However, injuries disrupted his time at Selhurst Park, and he left for Derby County on a free transfer in 2007, after netting just two goals in two years.

“I remember signing Jon Macken from Man City, he was a really good player, but he did nothing for us,” Jordan said.

“He became marginalised, and then you’ve got a Premier League player at a relegated club on Premier League wages, that is surplus to requirements.”

Milivojevic praises Matic

Crystal Palace skipper Luka Milivojevic has named Serbia team-mate Nemanja Matic as his ideal midfield partner, and former Chelsea star Eden Hazard as his toughest opponent.

The 29-year old answered a host of fan questions as part of light-hearted Q+A with the club’s Instagram channel.

Milivojevic confirmed he is keeping in regular contact with family in Serbia during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown and filling his days playing football with his kids and watching Netflix.

Despite not featuring regularly in 2020, Milivojevic was determined to focus on the team’s efforts, adding he is confident Palace can secure a top-half finish, if the 2019-20 season restarts in the coming weeks.
