According to a Trump administration official, federal workers who are reluctant to return to the office will have the option to accept buyouts starting Tuesday. This decision comes as the administration has directed federal employees, many of whom had been working remotely due to the pandemic, to resume in-person work.

Employees must resign by Feb 6 to receive severance pay until Sept 30.
