Most parents know the pain of finally getting the house tidy only for your hard work to be destroyed the moment your back is turned.
The kitchen is one of the hardest rooms to keep clean with the insatiable appetite of little ones for anything crumbly and sticky meaning parents are often fighting a losing battle.
But one mum appears to have come up with an ingenious way to ensure she can enjoy her clean work tops and organised cupboards - for a couple of hours at least.
A post on the I Am A Proud Mummy Facebook Group pictured the fierce warning sign she posted in the house banning them from the room.
The note, titled WARNING FAMILY, reads: "The pantry is hereby CLOSED for the next 2 hours.
"I just rage cleaned this kitchen from TOP to BOTTOM. I don't wanna see cracker crumbs, cookies bits, granola bar remnants, crushed chips, or random sticky things on these SHINY countertops.
"This should NOT be a hardship, since it appears you have each eaten 29 times today.
"If anybody needs me, I'll be standing here admiring and patrolling my clean kitchen before ya'll destroy it once again."
The note clearly struck a chord with other parents who were all too familiar with the feeling, as the post racked up 1,600 likes, 300 comments and almost 800 shares.
One commented to say: "Me, after rage cleaning: 'No one's allowed to live in this house for at least half a day!'"
A second said: "This is my house and it's only me and my hubby lol."
Another commented: "Every single mom in the world can relate hahahaha."
A fourth simply added: "I feel their pain."
