Fed up East Lothian residents kept awake as drivers rev engines and sound horns most nights

Fed up Musselburgh residents are suffering sleepless nights thanks to drivers revving their engines, playing music and sounding their horns most evenings.

Police in East Lothian say they'll be carrying out patrols in a bid to deter antisocial behaviour in parts of the town.

They say people living close to the car park at New Street are being disrupted late at night, and officers will be working to being an end to the problem.

East Lothian Police said: "Police will be carrying out patrols of the car park at New Street, Musselburgh, following a complaint regarding antisocial behaviour caused by vehicles parking up, revving engines, playing loud music, shouting and sounding their horns.

"This happens most evenings and is causing disruption to residents.

"Please be considerate when using your vehicle."
