February fixture changes after two Leeds United games selected for TV broadcast

Leeds United fans have become accustomed to having fixtures rearranged due to television and the first rights holders' picks for 2022 suggest this won't be changing any time soon.

Leeds have two games in February which have been shifted so that the television cameras can be present, with Manchester United's trip to Elland Road selected by Sky Sports and moved a day later to a Sunday 2pm kick-off on the 20th and the home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur has been moved to a lunch time kick-off on the 26th.

The Whites will hope for better results in front of their home fans as both away games ended in defeat earlier in the season.

The 2-1 loss at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium ended in disappointment but did feature a strong first-half performance from Bielsa's men - particularly given that they were without Raphinha and Patrick Bamford on the day.

However, the opening day 5-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford was a terrible start to the season which Leeds have never really recovered from. They would love to put right the wrongs of that day in front of the Sky cameras.

That being said, they will have to do so without Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper, after Bielsa revealed that both will be out until March as they recover from their hamstring injuries.

In the case of Phillips, he did not feature in the away game against Manchester United and was used in the back four against Tottenham, so in both cases, they will have missed his presence in midfield for both home and away fixtures.
