People in a “quiet community” worried they could be “tipped over the edge” by plans to introduce a holiday let.
Neighbours living close to the site of the proposed part-time holiday accommodation – on Blucher Street, Waterloo – said they were “vehemently” opposed to the plans, which were submitted to Sefton Council last year.
The application sought approval for a change of use to the home to be used for 90 days of the year as a four bedroomed self-catering holiday accommodation.

In objections lodged with the planning department, several residents spoke of their concerns that already existing parking problems could be exacerbated by the home being used as holiday accommodation.
Others spoke of their fears around anti-social behaviour and “comings and goings” from the property.
Several residents spoke of their anger at the way a site notice was displayed, as they expressed concern about “the level of care that has been taken to properly notify the community.”
Others spoke of the road being a “family street” and that there could be “no one to police” the activities of temporary residents, who may have no connection or sense of responsibility to the local area.
Ultimately refusing the plans, officers spoke of the “unreasonable and unacceptable impact on the living conditions and quality of life of people living nearby”, especially in terms of noise and disturbance, if the plans had been accepted.
