Update (December 30): A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal to find missing Jasmine Hall. Jasmine is safe and well and has returned home."

A 15-year-old girl is missing and has not been seen since Christmas Eve, police said.

Jasmine Hall was last seen in the Litherland area at 6pm on December 24.

Police are becoming "increasingly concerned" about the schoolgirl and have appealed for her whereabouts.

The force said Jasmine has a Liverpool accent and is described as a white female, around 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with very long auburn hair usually worn in a ponytail and has a fair complexion.

When last seen she was wearing black trousers, black trainers, a black Kenzo jumper with gold stitching around, a white shirt underneath and a black jacket.
