Fears grow for missing man who vanished from Barrhead home

Concern is growing for a missing man who disappeared from his Barrhead home on Monday morning.

Thomas Kennedy was last spotted in the Blackbyres Road area of the town at around 7.15am on Monday, September 16.

The 46-year-old was wearing a black zipped top, black jogging trousers and boots at the time of his disappearance.

He has been described as being around 5ft 9ins tall and of muscled build with grey hair and a goatee beard.

Police Scotland are now growing concerned for his welfare as officers continue to hunt down his whereabouts.

Sergeant Graeme Waite, of Giffnock Police Station, said: “Thomas was last seen leaving his home address on foot this morning and may have headed in the direction of Glasgow Road.

"We have reason to be concerned for his welfare so would urge anyone with information which could help trace him to come forward as soon as they can.

"You can contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident 536 of September 16."
