Concern is growing for a 14-year-old boy who was reported missing from Wood Green five days ago.
Omar Bartocci was last seen on Wednesday 20 July.
He is described as being approximately 5ft tall and of a small build.
He was wearing glasses and has braces.
Omar's grandmother Selma Ross-Smith told The Independent it was his birthday on Sunday.
"Omar has raging hormones and has run away. He recently went on a Duke of Edinburgh course and he has taken a back-pack containing a penknife, lighter and a black sweater, which suggests camping to me," she said.
She added: "He lost his mobile phone last week on the underground so we cannot track him and he has no food, water or clothes."
Speaking to the Independent, Manila Bartocci, Omar's mother, said: "The most important message is that he's not in trouble in any way. We love him, miss him like crazy and want him home safely."
Omar was last seen wearing black shorts, a black top with a Hindu symbol on the front, Adidas trainers with white stripes and a black rucksack.
He was also riding a green BMX bike.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said: “We are concerned for Omar’s welfare. He is possibly in possession of an unregistered Oyster Card and could be carrying a small amount of money.”
Omar’s coach David Ouda, from Haringey Rhinos, told the Ham & High: “Omar has been part of Haringey Rhinos RFC for over three years. He is a true team player and cares for everyone around him”.
Anyone with any information as to Omar’s whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101 quoting ref 16MIS031563.
