Fears grow for Love Island's Yewande Biala as bookies slash odds for Dubliner to be dumped

Irish Love Island star Yewande Biala is now the odds-on favourite islander to be dumped off the show.

The Dubliner has had a rocky few days with Danny Williams, after 28-year-old model Arabella Chi walked in last week.

And the bookies have now slashed the odds for Yewande to be eliminated from the reality show.

The scientist is priced at 4/6, while fellow Irish contestant Mura Higgins is the second favourite for the boot at 5/2.

Oddsman spokesman Peter Watton said: "Yewande has had her ups and downs, but it looks like she has a bit of a mountain to climb to stay in contention and Bookmakers firmly believe she is on her way out at 4/6, well ahead of Maura at 5/2.

"In terms of winning – the big movers in the last few days have been Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, now into 10/3 second favourites behind Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill – who remain solid at 6/4.

"Long-time favourites Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart are now out to 9/2."

Yewande, 23, threatened to quit the show after she continued to find herself in a love triangle with Danny, 21, and newcomer Arabella.

Confronting the male model about their rocky romance, the Co Meath scientist said: “You told me you wanted to progress things with me but you failed to mention you also want to get to know [Arabella].

“You told me a couple of days ago you’re not interested in getting to know anyone else. What do you want from me? I don’t really get it. Do you know what you want?”

Danny replied: “I want me and you to continue talking and I don’t want it to be awkward. In regards to Arabella, I just want to get to know her. That’s it.”

She was seen weeping and asking producers: “I don’t understand why someone can’t just want me.”

She later tells Anna: “I don’t want to be here anymore and I just feel like I am not going to find love here.

“I think I just need time to really think about what is going on and then I can decide what I am going to do.”

While Yewande contemplates her future, Arabella tells Danny: “I think you need to make a decision.” Danny asks her: “You want me to say to Yewande, ‘This isn’t happening?’”

Arabella replies, “Yes. In an ideal world” before being given the choice of all of the guys in the villa and picking Danny to kiss in the Gym Bunnies challenge.

While the rest of the villa is gripped by the love-triangle, Tom Walker, 29, makes a move on Longford girl Maura Higgins.

Following their kiss, she says in the Beach Hut: “Not a lot of people shock me, but Tom has shocked me. I don’t want to be soppy but it was really good. I enjoyed it. He’s a really good kisser.”

After triumphing in the Gym Bunnies challenge, Maura is given the opportunity to spend the night in the Hideaway with a boy of her choice and she chooses Tom, who is ecstatic at the thought of some alone time with Maura.

But as she gets ready for her night, she overhears his banter with the boys about their upcoming night and she is left fuming.
