Fears grow as girl, 13, went missing in her school uniform days ago

UPDATE: Merseyside Police have since confirmed that Ellie has been found safe and well.

A 13-year-old girl "of small build" has not been seen for days after she went missing in her school uniform.

Ellie Mae Starkey was last seen in the Woolton Road area of Wavertree at about 2.15pm on Friday, January 24.

Police said "extensive enquiries" are going on to find the missing schoolgirl.

Ellie Mae, who is 4ft 11, was last seen wearing a black school blazer, grey tartan skirt, black shoes and long black socks.

Officers said a sighting of Ellie Mae on Sunday in the Walton area suggests she was wearing a pink jacket and black leggings.

Ellie May Starkey has links to Norris Green, Anfield, Page Moss and Huyton (Merseyside Police)

Police said the teenager has links to Norris Green, Anfield, Page moss and Huyton.

She is described as white, of very small build, very long, mousey straight hair and blue eyes.

She also wears glasses and has a Liverpool accent.
