Coronation Street viewers are concerned Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) are being conned in their quest to find treatment for their poorly son Oliver.
A German doctor has promised to help three-year-old Oliver, but is asking for a whopping £500,000.
Leanne has not been entirely truthful to Dr Schmitz about how sick Oliver is, because she is so desperate for him to get help.
But after Leanne spoke to the doctor on the phone, some viewers voiced their fear that the already struggling family are being conned.
They are not the only ones, as Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) felt the same, and said: "I thought that doctor would ask a few more questions.
"Steve, it's such a lot of money, you'd think they want to know they had exactly the right case.
"I just want to make sure they are not trying it on," she added.
One viewer tweeted: "Got to be a con with that doctor.. half a million pound ? That’s some joke right ? #corrie ".
"£500,000???? Bloody hell, I smell a con!! #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie," remarked another.
A third pondered: "Is Dr Schmitz a con man? #Corrie ".
Another added: "Yeah and I bet he wants the money before he arrives in the UK, big fat con #Corrie ".
"I'm with Tracey, I duno if this doctor is trustworthy..... #Corrie," wrote a fifth.
A sixth added: "I think that doctor in Germany is shady. surely he should have spoken to Oliver's doctors, find out Leeann lied to him & called her out on it instead of telling her the treatment will cost 500k?! I hope i'm wrong but it doesn't feel right. #Corrie ".
