Fearne Cotton gets real about realities of home schooling her kids in quarantine

Fearne Cotton is feeling the wrath that self-isolation is inflicting on her.

The broadcaster and proud mother-of-two has spoken candidly about feeling a little overwhelmed while adjusting to home schooling her son Rex, seven, and daughter Honey, four amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

After the closure of her children's schools, the 38-year-old decided to take their education into her own hands, but things haven't been going as smoothly as she first anticpated.

Chatting to Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Friday, Ferne insisted that spending that much time with her children has been rather challenging, especially due to the fact she feels they have "no respect" for her.

Fashionista Fearne - who shares her two children with musician Jesse Wood, 43 - described the whole experience as "interesting".

Admitting that she's just as bad as her children in that they lack respect and she lacks patience, the presenter got real about the reality of home schooling under such stressful circumstances.

"I have discovered that my children have no respect for me whatsoever and I've got no patience is the other discovery as well!

"We're trying our best. We're trying our best".

Fearne has been busy documenting her time at home with the kids with her followers on Instagram.

The 38-year-old has been sharing several snaps on her Instagram Stories focused on how she's killing the time with her two children while they are all self-isolating inside.

While speaking with radio host Zoe, Fearne also touched on the mental health impact the coronavirus will have on people.

The 38-year-old has been incredibly open and honest about her mental health struggles in the past, and she made no exception when it came to speaking candidly about the effects of working from home.

Sharing some tips on how she plans to stay 'sane', Ferne suggested that people should stick to a routine and be mindful about getting out into the fresh air as much as they possibly can.

"I think you just have to be really mindful of how you balance out what you're digesting.

"So if you are watching the news, the rolling news, and you are reading the newspaper or online every day, then you really need to balance it out with positive stuff.
