Fearless West Lothian shopkeeper stopped woman with knife from robbing store by grabbing weapon

A fearless shopkeeper stopped a woman from robbing his store by grabbing the weapon off her.

Police were called to a store on Gracie's Wynd shortly after 5.15pm yesterday (Tuesday) after being alerted to the alarming incident .

Officers were told that a woman entered the shop before presenting a blade at the male shopkeeper.

The male managed to safely remove the knife from the would-be robber before she ran off towards a nearby petrol station.

Concerns that Bathgate Academy is peforming 'way below' expected levels  

Police Scotland say their inquiries are ongoing, and they want anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "Police in West Lothian are investigating after a woman entered a shop in Gracie's Wynd, Armadale, at around 5.15pm on Tuesday 7 April and presented a knife at the male shopkeeper.

"The shopkeeper safely took possession of the knife and the female made off towards the petrol station.

"Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward."
