A Leeds community is in shock as they rally to support the search for missing Rawan Hussain.
The 16-year-old girl was last seen at her house in Chapel Allerton, at around 5am on Sunday, April 16, and she was reported missing around six hours after the last sighting.
On Monday, April 27, more than 100 West Yorkshire Police officers were seen combing an area of woodland in Chapel Allerton before they moved on to another area of the city “in light of new information”.
Today, the teenager remains missing as the investigation continues and her worried family are supported by specially trained officers. Read more about the search for Rawan here.
Residents around Leeds are now rallying to show their support, wishing for her safe return and saying prayers for the families.
In comments on Leeds Live Facebook page, one person wrote said: “Hopefully she’s found soon, found alive, and brought safely back home.”
While another reader said: “Hope they find her safe and well. Will pray for her and family to return soon.”

A reader urged Rawan to contact friends and family, they said: “Thoughts and Prayers with you and your family Rawan. If possible Rawan, please contact family or friends to let them know you're safe and well.”
While someone else said: “Yes, let’s all pray for the young girl. If it was my child I’d be going out of my head too...let's hope it turns out she is safe and well, and with a friend, etc. Thoughts are with the family.”
