Walkers are being warned not to touch or feed the swans at a Leeds park after two died.
Leeds City Council confirmed DEFRA had been contacted and checks were happening daily after two swans died at Roundhay Park. The cause of the swans' deaths hasn't been confirmed.
However, park-goers ware warned not to touch or feed the swans or other birds, and to keep dogs on a lead when they are near areas in the park with birds. Friends of Roundhay Park also published the same advice.

A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said: "We are aware of the deaths of two swans at Roundhay Park. At this stage the cause of death has not been confirmed. Staff are continuing to do daily checks at the park and are also in contact with DEFRA.
"The risk to the public from Avian Influenza is very low but we would like to ask people not to touch or feed the swans and other wild birds at this present time. Please also stay away from sick or dead birds, feathers and bird waste.
"Dogs should also be kept on a lead away from areas containing birds. For further guidance, please visit the government website regarding Avian influenza (bird flu) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)."
Friends of Roundhay Park stressed in a Facebook post that dead birds or animals should never be touched.
