The EA Sports FC 26 Closed Beta has come to an end and player feedback is already shaping the updates ahead. The development team has shared the areas they’re working on and outlined when the changes are expected to arrive in game.
Among the most common topics raised were the effectiveness of low driven shots, AI defender speed, attacking positioning, heavy dribble touches, delays in AI calling for passes, goalkeeper save reactions and AI shot selection.
The devs mention players noticed AI attackers sometimes miss obvious runs or end up offside too often. Updates for Early Access aim to help AI spot open space more quickly and move into it naturally, regardless of their role. Timing for runs is also being adjusted so AI can stay onside and be in the right position for incoming passes.
Players have pointed out that dribble touches in FC 26 can sometimes push the ball too far ahead, leaving attackers open to losing possession. The team has tracked the issue to wet weather authentic preset gameplay and plan to adjust it in a Live Tuning Update ahead of the worldwide launch on September 26.
Most of the major reported issues are expected to be resolved before early access begins, so players should be able to jump in and experience everything without much delay.
FC 26 will be available worldwide on September 26 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players can get a head start with early access through the Ultimate Edition or an EA Play trial starting September 19.
