FBI finishes interviewing Kavanaugh friend Mark Judge

The FBI has completed its interview with Brett Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge as part of its investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, his attorney told the New York Daily News Tuesday.

Judge was in the room when Christine Blasey Ford says she was attacked by Kavanaugh at a party in high school.

"Mr. Judge completed his FBI interview," Barbara Van Gelder, Judge's attorney, told The News in an email. "We are not commenting on the questions the FBI asked Mr. Judge."

Ford, a college professor, told lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee last week that a drunken Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, clasped a hand over her mouth and groped her during a high school party in the 1980s.

Kavanaugh and Judge have denied the allegations.

Van Gelder wouldn't say Tuesday when the interview concluded or what Judge was asked. Judge is one of multiple people the FBI has already interviewed as part of its reopened background investigation into Kavanaugh.

Two other people who Ford said attended the same party have also been interviewed by FBI agents.

However, Ford has not been contacted, her legal team told CNN on Tuesday.

Others who knew Kavanaugh during his college years have been in touch with investigators.

Chad Ludington, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh who came forward with claims that Kavanaugh had not been fully truthful about his drinking habits when he testified before lawmakers, will also be meeting with agents on Tuesday, according to reports.

Ludington's public statements have led to a focus on a 1985 bar brawl that was partially sparked when Kavanaugh tossed a beer at a man he and his friends mistook for the lead singer of the band UB40.

Trump agreed on Friday to allow the FBI to spend a week following up on sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh. Questions have been raised about whether the White House is limiting the scope of the probe.
