FBI Analyst Facing Several Felonies After Downloading Child Sex Abuse Videos: Texas Officials

Brian Rausch faces child pornography charges.

Texas police say that an FBI employee allegedly downloaded several videos of child sexual assault.

Brian Rausch of Cypress was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home Tuesday. Rausch faces five counts of possession of child pornography, Fox 26 reported. Rausch will also face two felony charges on a federal level for a total of seven charges filed.

According to the station, Rausch is an analyst with the FBI in Houston.

"They brought the wife out first and left her in the driveway with some of the agents, and then brought the two children out afterward," Corey Guerrero, a neighbor, told NBC 2 Houston.

"We could not imagine for the life of us what was going on," Guerrero told the station. "We knew the husband worked for the FBI, and his car wasn't there, so we couldn't imagine what had happened. They've lived there for 11 years and just a nice family."

An investigator had allegedly found evidence that Rausch had downloaded the videos, NBC 2 Houston reported, and a joint investigation involving the Department of Homeland Security, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI was launched.

Rausch is being held in the Harris County Jail.
