Teachers, staff and children are now self isolating after another positive coronavirus case at a Liverpool school.
Parents and carers of Fazakerley High School were told on Tuesday that affected students should not return to school for 14 days after the covd-19 case was confirmed.
A letter was sent home with every pupil at the school but it is believed that only year 10 students are affected, along with a number of teachers.
Headteacher, Miss Duggan, reassured guardians that all necessary steps had been taken to make sure pupils were safe after they were made aware of the case.
She also confirmed that the school had undergone all the cleaning that is required by the council and Public Health England.
The letter said: "We have been advised by Public Health England that there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our school community.
"I would like to take time to reassure you that we have taken at necessary actions since hearing this information to keep all children at our school as safe as possible.
"The children and staff in the bubble are now self-isolating for 14 days and the school has been cleaned appropriately."
The latest case comes as more restrictions were brought in to bring the rising number of cases under control.

At the minute, no new measures have been brought in for schools but some are increasing their own rules to keep students safe.
Some schools have made it mandatory for children to wear masks in corridors while others are not allowing parents to come into the school grounds to pick up the pupils.
