Faye Brookes uses fat measuring machine as she starts her training for Dancing On Ice

She's set to bring some West End sparkle to the rink on Dancing On Ice, and Faye Brookes was all smiles as she began her preparations for Dancing On Ice.

The actress was joined in the gym by her personal trainer boyfriend Joe Davies, and the pair are clearly loved-up as he supports her journey onto the ice.

Former Coronation Street star and West End leading lady Faye and her man Joe looked smitten as he showed her how to use a body composition machine that measures body mass index, metabolic age and muscle mass.

It also measures visceral fats, the body fat stored within the abdominal cavity.

The pair giggled and smiled before studying their results together from the machine, which has grown in popularity as the nation tries to ward off the dangers of Covid-19.

Faye, 33, is excited to be a contestant on the new series of the ITV celeb skating show Dancing On Ice.

She will follow in the footsteps of fellow Weatherfield favourites Antony Cotton, Brooke Vincent, Hayley Tamaddon, Jane Danson, Lisa George and Samia Longchambon.

Faye, who played Kate Connor in Corrie, previously joked on the morning chat show Lorraine that she hopes not to be 'Bambi on ice' when she takes to the ice rink in January.

Sharing a photo on Instagram of herself in a dazzling silver skating costume she said "Next Adventure...

"Over the moon to be apart of 2021 Cast of @dancingonice!"

Faye will be going head to head in the new series with fellow soap star Joe-Warren Plant, who plays Jacob Gallagher in Emmerdale.

Faye said she would be speaking to her Corrie pals to get tips ahead of her appearance on the show.

"I saw Brooke yesterday and I was desperate to tell her but I thought one more day and I’ll be able to. She’ll be my first text message after I've finished this interview," she told Lorraine.

Addressing her past experience with dance, Faye said she believes it will be difficult to translate her skills onto ice.

“I’m a trained dancer but attempting to put something I already know very well on skates is quite scary,” she explained.
