Faye Brookes seen for first time following split as she and Lucy Fallon reunite with ITV Corrie girls at Haydock Races

They looked a far cry from the Corrie cobbles as they reunited for a day at the races and Weatherfield's Faye Brookes and Lucy Fallon were all smiles as they posed with fellow favourites Charlotte Jordan and Ellie Leach. The Coronation Street ladies enjoyed a day out at Haydock Park Races in Merseyside with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Seema Malhotra's fashion brand Forever Unique.

Faye, who played Kate Connor, the daughter of Johnny Connor in the soap from 2015 to 2019, was pretty in pink in a bow-detail dress. And Lucy, who played Bethany Platt from 2015 to 2020, ramped up the glam in a green corset dress by Forever Unique at the Betfred Rose Of Lancaster Stakes Ladies Day.

Faye, 34, shared a snap on Instagram of herself and Lucy, 26, sharing a laugh with a pink plus a green love heart as the compliments came pouring in. "Honestly I’m hilarious this is why ur laughing so much xxxx" Lucy wrote jokingly.

Over on Lucy's Insta she acknowledged their fruity-hued outfits with a snap of herself with Faye Windass actress Ellie, 21, who looked super-chic in a sunshine yellow suit with hot pink accessories. "Lemon and lime," she wrote as the stars posed up a storm.

Charlotte, 27, who joined the soap as feisty Daisy Midgeley the stepdaughter of Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor in November 2020, wowed in a black blazer dress with bold buttons and eye-catching towering heels. And she showed how close the Corrie pals are in real-life by sharing a snap of herself beaming alongside Ellie as she sweetly called her a 'precious bean.'

"Girlies," Lucy wrote as she posted a snap of herself with Ellie and Charlotte. Fans are pleased to see Faye on top form after sadly announcing last month that she had split from her partner Joe Davies.

Last week she shared a photo of herself with her singer friend Sophie Tehrani with the words: "Boys will come and go but a true friend will last forever." She told her social media followers that she and personal trainer Joe had decided to go their separate ways but said their friendship remains 'stonger than ever'.'

"Just wanted to say that, very sadly, after nearly three years Joe and I have decided to go our separate ways. We had the most wonderful of times, and our mutual respect, admiration and friendship remains stronger than ever," she tweeted.

Faye Brookes (Stephen Farrell)

In June she opened up about working on renovations to their 'forever home' together after selling their apartment in Manchester and moving out of the city centre last year. Earlier this year the stage and screen actress, who has been playing the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the Chicago UK tour, described Joe as her 'rock' as she reflected on life-changing events which she described as 'lifequakes.'

Posting a photo of herself and Joe planning their home as she spoke of the difficulties in constantly being on the road she said: "Still planning away…" she typed. "Our home renovations are still on going and probably will be for the duration of our summer."

She added: "It’s not easy when I constantly on the road with my job so we have to make sure that we check in with one another. Behind the scenes all you’ll see is a stream of continuous messages back and forth to one another finalising decisions that have to be made about our forever home."

Ellie Leach (Stephen Farrell)

Faye, from Flixton, went public with her romance with Joe at the end of 2019. She was previously engaged to Pop Idol finalist Gareth Gates. The former couple promised to remain friends after reaching a mutual decision to call off their wedding after realising 'it wasn't meant to be.'

Ellie, from Bury, has played Faye for 11 years. Her character was diagnosed with early menopause earlier this year following a false positive pregnancy test.

Despite her boyfriend Craig Tinker's mum Beth encouraging him to break up with her due to the fact that she can no longer have children, he has stayed by her side through this trying time for the couple. This week her stepmum Sally Metcalfe suggested she should consider HRT, but she’s not keen.

Charlotte Jordan (Stephen Farrell)

Next week she tells Beth and Sally that Craig has been researching the menopause obsessively and is now monitoring nutrition. Craig takes Faye for a meal to Speed Daal but produces a chart he’s made, listing beneficial foods so that they can check the menu.
