Faye Brookes has shared a cryptic message after Hamish Gaman’s unexpected exit from Dancing On Ice.
The Coronation Street actress, 33, took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that she’s ‘starting again’ after her professional skating partner was forced to pull out of the ITV competition.
Although doctors gave him the all-clear to return to the ice after tearing a tendon in his hand , ITV confirmed hours later that the 37-year-old had to hang up his skates for the current series.
Faye, who yesterday revealed that she was ‘devastated’ about losing Hamish before the end of the competition, has since picked herself back up after her new partnership with pro skater Matt Evers was confirmed.
Posting a stunning snap of herself looking fierce, the soap star penned: “Round Two.
“No matter what. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again. Here we go.”
Hamish’s exit has come as quite a shock because yesterday morning he'd revealed he was excited to get back on the ice on February 28.
The skating sensation revealed that he had some ‘good news’ for Dancing On Ice fans alongside a video of himself and Faye on the rink.
“Good news!!! I saw a doctor today (privately) and I don’t need surgery on my finger,” he explained.
“I’ll have to wear a splint on it but that won’t affect my ability to skate or perform in the show. Faye and I can still do all of the big tricks that we had planned and give you all of the usual Dancing On Ice sparkle safely.”
He went on to reveal that he was 'so grateful’ and ‘happy’ to be able to continue on the show, just hours before ITV announced that Hamish would not return to the ice.
“I’m so grateful and happy. Being back on the show this year means the world to me. Faye and I are having so much fun together and I’m so proud of her.”
However, it has since been confirmed that Hamish will not return, amid the show being axed this weekend.
The ice skater now joins a long list of pros and celebrity contestants being forced to withdraw due to injuries and other issues in this series alone.
