Faye Brookes has finally broken her silence after splitting from her fiance Gareth Gates.
The Corrie star took to social media after rumours surfaced that she had moved on with another ma n after being spotted leaving the gym with him.
Faye, 31, tweeted about the incident and said she had been going to the gym a lot since the break-up - reports Mirror Online.
She tweeted: "It’s been a really weird week. I’ve been throwing myself into the gym pretty much everyday, anyone who knows me knows how much I love training and keeping fit!
"It’s great for your physical and mental health. I’m a member of several gyms in Manchester including the fab Barry’s Bootcamp.
"So (yesterday) there was a pap outside the gym when I got there, taking pictures of me & getting very excited with his camera because I walked in with one of the trainers from the gym – who is a friend."
The Corrie star begged for her fans to give her some time to herself while she mended her heart following the break up. She added: "Just let a girl be, please."
Faye called off the wedding to Gareth in recent days after just seven months of engagement.
It emerged the actress had broke things off with her long-time partner because he was trying to manage her sky-rocketing career after she made the decision to leave Corrie.
Gareth got down on one knee to propose with a £30,000 ring in January, which Faye gleefully accepted.
But this isn't the first time the couple have split, as they went their separate ways in September last year only to be reunited after four months apart.
