Plaxy has a visor, Giorgio rocks a paper mask, and the legendary bread selection is served individually at an ambrosial dinner at Locanda Locatelli, now fully open.

The gift of Hawksmoor at Home, centred on a 35-day dry-aged porterhouse steak with bone marrow and Madeira jus, Pierre Koffmann potatoes and loads to drink, claims to feed two. It feeds three bountifully, one a hungry young chap.

Spiced corn ribs, Afghani chicken tikka, Bengal lamb curry, English peas Banarsi-style at Chutney Mary; re-emerging as elegant, graceful and delicious as ever.

Great news: tomorrow restaurant Sabor in Heddon Street launches outdoor tables. At-home service Sabor en Casa provides fabulous octopus Gallega, milk-fed lamb ribs with chimichurri sauce and more. Thank you Nieves and José.
