Fay Maschler's week in food, from Kricket to the Corinthia

A Keralan Fried Chicken Naan Wrap kit with dough, pickles and garnishes from Kricket restaurant and spiced buttermilk-marinated chicken thighs from HG Walter (order from hgwalter.com). You just need oil for frying. Very satisfying.

In the terrace Garden of Corinthia Hotel feather light chickpea fries with courgette and sour cream dip and enough rosé to float my boat.

Delightfully torrid gossip with Lynn Barber at Marylebone’s Fischer’s over Wiener schnitzel for her, Dorset crab and fennel salad for me.

Veal chops with vegetables from the walled garden at Wolterton Hall, once home to Horatio Walpole, being lovingly restored by my chums Peter Sheppard and Keith Day.

Sunday lunch of farmhouse chicken to share with roasted garlic bread sauce, stuffing and Albert Bartlett goose fat potatoes at The Gunton Arms in Norfolk. Rural idyll.
