You complained about seeding. You complained about your favorites being snubbed. You complained about how unfunny my writing is. Well, the time for complaints is over. Every single name left in this bracket has earned his way to this spot. We are left with only the top of the top when it comes to your favorite Spartans of all time. No. 1 Magic Johnson vs. No. 3 Javon Ringer
Our top seed Magic Johnson again cruised to victory in the Sweet 16. He is a complete buzzsaw. Credit to Denzel Valentine for garnering 9% of the vote, double what anybody else has been able to get against Magic.
Taking down the man behind the first of MSU’s two national titles in basketball will be a very tall task and it falls at the hands (er.. feet) of Javon Ringer. One of the best running backs in school history and a fan favorite, Ringer just edged out No. 2 seed Drew Neitzel in the Sweet 16, getting 52% of the vote. Ringer now takes his best shot at taking down he pre-tournament favorite. Can he do it?
