Father Ted lookalike house for sale for €100,000

Viewers of the iconic show Father Ted will be all too familiar with the well-known set of the comedy series.

The popular show followed the lives of three priests and their housekeeper as they lived in the fictional parish of Craggy Island located off the west coast of Ireland.

The house used in the show is actually located in Glenquin, Killinaboy, Co. Clare and is a popular tourist attraction among fans of the show.

However, a similar home that has gone up for sale located on the Scottish Island of Yell is a reality version of the fictional parish priest's home.

The lookalike house went on sale for €110,000 (£95,000).

The house known as Ferncliff is a detached two bedroom property that has excellent inter-island ferry links to the Shetland Mainland.

The property is set in an idyllic rural location with outstanding views towards the Loch of Gutcher and Bluemull Sound.

The interior of the house is a bit different from the Father Ted home, but the exterior does share some similarities.

Built in 1824, the property still retains many original features such as high ceilings and large reception areas.

Some repairs and maintenance are required externally, but it is in good condition.

The property benefits from oil-fired central heating, and there are radiators in all rooms of the house.

Ferncliff is situated in Gutcher, at the north end of the island of Yell, perfect for any fans of the show who want to make their viewing a reality.

Within a 5 mile range, there is a café, shop, community hall and Cullivoe Primary School.

The secondary school is located in Mid Yell, which is 8.5 miles away.

This location is sure to bring you all the peace and quiet you could ever want as it is set pretty much away from all society.

Unfortunately, the opportunity to live like Father Ted is now out of reach as it is now too late to place an offer on the house as the closing date was September 13 th .
