Fatboy Slim star Norman Cook calls out BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball for forgetting they were married

Norman Cook of Fatboy Slim fame has called out BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball after she seemingly forgot they were married. Dialling in from Glastonbury Festival, where he is performing this weekend, Zoe interviewed the British DJ.

The couple separated some seven years ago, were married for around 17 years and Norman, 59, stopped by his ex-wife Zoe's (52) morning show to talk about all things Glastonbury. Introducing the DJ to her listeners on Friday morning (June 23), The Mirror reports that Zoe joked she had forgotten snippets from her ex-husband's career, before he quipped that she had forgotten that they were ever married.

Zoe said: "I now welcome to the show somebody you may know from The Housemartins, Pizzaman, Beats International - I nearly forgot what you were called then, sorry."

Norman responded to say: "And such things as our marriage". To which Zoe said: "And such things as our marriage. It is Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook."

It comes after Norman credited his ex wife for keeping him grounded throughout his career. Earlier this year, the 'Praise You' DJ appeared on the Changes podcast, where he said: "One thing I did have to keep a lid on during that crazy time was my ego.

"While you’ve got licence to break rules, you’ve always got a lot of people who’ll let you get away with murder. Zoe was really good for me for that, because she knew the fame game and we would sort of check each other.

"If I wasn’t respectful to people, she’d go: 'Oi, come on, that’s not how we behave! Go back and thank them for that'. We were both quite good at keeping each other’s feet on the ground.

"Because it’s hard when everyone’s saying: 'Here, have this, take this, drink this, you’re brilliant'. It’s hard to keep some kind of limit and say: 'I am actually a human being, not a superstar'.

"I think we probably saved each other a lot of bother."

Zoe and Norman tied the knot back in 1999 and, despite a temporary separation in 2003, the pair rekindled their happy marriage and had two children together, before they ultimately decided to call it quits in 2016.

Fatboy Slim will be headlining The Park Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday (June 25). His set will take place from 11pm until 12.15am.
