Fatboy Slim hits out at BBC Radio 2 presenter for 'forgetting' their marriage

Fatboy Slim has scolded a radio presenter after she forgot they were married. Norman Cook, better known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, called out presenter Zoe Ball after she seemingly forgot their marriage.

Norman called onto the BBC Radio 2 show from Glastonbury where he is performing this weekend, and was interviewed by Zoe. The pair had called time on their marriage seven years ago reports Birmingham Live.

He said: "I'm in Brighton, just prepping for Glastonbury. Trying to shorten all my tracks so I can get them all in on the show." Zoe told listeners: "I now welcome to the show somebody you may know from The Housemartins, Pizzaman, Beats International – I nearly forgot what you were called then, sorry.

Norman replied: "And such things as our marriage." Zoe added: "And such things as our marriage.

"It is Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook." Earlier this year, Norman spoke about his career and his marriage, saying: "One thing I did have to keep a lid on during that crazy time was my ego.

"While you’ve got licence to break rules, you’ve always got a lot of people who’ll let you get away with murder. Zoe [Ball] was really good for me for that, because she knew the fame game and we would sort of check each other.

"If I wasn’t respectful to people, she’d go: “Oi, come on, that’s not how we behave! Go back and thank them for that. We were both quite good at keeping each other’s feet on the ground."

He continued: "Because it’s hard when everyone’s saying: “Here, have this, take this, drink this, you’re brilliant.. It’s hard to keep some kind of limit and say: “I am actually a human being, not a superstar."
