Fatboy Slim announces Belfast show in SSE Arena next year

One of the most iconic figures in dance music has announced a show in Belfast next year.

Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, will be playing in the SSE Arena on Friday, March 18.

The artist will also be playing at Dublin's 3Arena two days prior on Wednesday, March 16.

The gigs will come a few months after he headlines Shine's 25th birthday party celebrations on October 23 at the Telegraph Building in Belfast.

Fatboy Slim is renowned as one of the most influential DJ/producers of all time with a litany of 90s and noughties hits that opened the door for electronic music as a mainstream phenomenon.

It comes as 2020 saw Fatboy Slim take to the online streaming phenomenon in a big way, inviting fans to join him live as he performed from his home.

He released a series of 20 Lockdown mixes every Friday during the summer. In his usual relentless pursuit of fun, he also released his personal ' Back To Mine ' after hours groove collection as part of legendary and much-loved mix series.

As a DJ, songwriter, bassist, art curator and father, Fatboy Slim has been at the forefront of dance music for well over 30 years. His return to Belfast is sure to be a big one...
