Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame ceremony was last weekend, and MLB The Show 25 dropped a ton of great content to celebrate it. Every new Hall of Fame inductee has a 99 overall card in the game, except, of course, the best one. However, there’s still some great new content to add to your team. The faster you get it, the more of an advantage you’ll have.
Complete The Hall Of Fame Program
There is a brand-new Hall of Fame program that will get you 99 overall Hall of Fame cards featuring Dave Parker and CC Sabathia. You’ll get Parker at 60 program stars and Sabathia at 100 stars. There are a lot of stat missions involved, so make sure you set your conquest and Diamond Quest lineups with players from the right teams.
First, complete the moments. There are four of them that will earn you a total of 20 program stars. That will get you the 95 overall versions of both Parker and Sabathia. Put both of them into your lineup for Conquest, Mini Seasons, and Diamond Quest immediately. Fill out the rest of your lineup with players who play for Wagner’s, Dick Allen’s, and CC Sabathia’s teams. There are several stat missions in the program that can be completed this way.
Most of Parker’s missions are for using Dave Parker himself, so make sure the 95 overall 2nd Half card is in your lineup. There is one PXP mission for players on Parker’s teams. Those are the Pirates, Reds, A’s, Brewers, Angels, and Blue Jays.
Complete the Hall of Fame Diamond Quest
A new Diamond Quest is available, offering Hall of Fame Rod Carew and Cy Young cards. To earn those boss cards, you’ll need to progress through the map and defeat both Stadium teams to have a chance at the boss cards.
You’ll play the Twins in the Rod Carew Stadium and the Guardians in the Cy Young Stadium. You’re not guaranteed to get the epic reward if you win, so you might have to play the Diamond Quest again. Or, if you choose to buy them in the store, they’re each about 25,000 stubs in the marketplace.
Collections
The program and Diamond Quest can be completed pretty quickly. However, collections are a different beast. If you have already completed the Ted Williams collection, you’re well on your way to completing the collections for Billy Wagner, Dick Allen, and Jose Bautista. If not, you have a way to go.
Dick Allen and Billy Wagner are both Hall of Fame series cards. Both are really elite additions to any lineup. Wagner is already killing it for me off the mound in Weekend Classic games.
The Bautista card is a stand-in for the one missing Hall of Fame inductee, Ichiro Suzuki. But it’s an awfully nice consolation prize. Bautista is just about maxed out in every important hitting attribute in MLB The Show 25.
- Billy Wagner Collection: To get the 99 overall Billy Wagner Hall of Fame card, you’ll need 14 of the vouchers you get from completing card series collections.
- Dick Allen Collection: To get the 99 overall Dick Allen Hall of Fame card, you’ll need 21 of the vouchers.
- Jose Bautista Collection: To get the 99 overall Jose Bautista Finest series card, you’ll need 28 of the vouchers.
