Fashion Sakala Rangers to Saudi £3million transfer 'on'

Fashion Sakala could be Saudi Arabia-bound after all, according to a report.

The Rangers striker initially rejected advances from the Middle East last week, as he decided to focus on proving his worth at Ibrox.

However, it's said that Saudi Pro-League club Al-Fayha are persisting in their pursuit of the Zambian attacker.

The Daily Mail reports the Saudi club has lodged a fresh £3million bid for Sakala.

He was left out of Rangers' draw against Hoffenheim at the weekend, and was also absent from the club's open training session yesterday.

It's said that Michael Beale and the club are open to letting the forward leave. The £3m fee would help to recoup the amount spent on the likes of Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima this summer.

Speaking on Sakala after Saturday's draw in Germany, Beale said: “There’s nothing on Fashion at the moment. There’s a bit of noise around a few of the players and that’s natural because of how many we’ve brought in. As soon as there’s something to say on that we will."

Meanwhile, Jose Cifuentes is closing in on his move to Rangers.

The Daily Record states that the midfielder will arrive in Glasgow today to finalise his switch from LAFC.

The 24-year-old has already signed a pre-contract with the Light Blues.

However, Michael Beale and the club want to make the deal happen earlier, with their preference to get it over the line this summer.
