Rangers are to offer Fashion Sakala a four-year deal to get him to Ibrox this summer.
Record Sport exclusively broke the Light Blues’ interest in the Zambian international in January and then at the weekend we confirmed the Ibrox club were in advanced talks.
The Scottish champions are confident a deal will be sealed and the move is expected to be progressed this week with a pre-contract agreement likely after that.
Sakala has already held positive talks with Rangers and is close to agreeing personal terms.
The African had more lucrative offers from the Middle East and Europe but has made it clear that Rangers is his preferred choice.
He has been impressed with their pitch and wants the chance to play under Steven Gerrard in the Champions League.
KV Oostende had been in talks over an extension but have now given up the fight, knowing Sakala sees his future in Scotland.
Rangers will also add midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh on a pre-contract from Bournemouth in the summer.
