Fashion Sakala in emotional Rangers transfer address as striker sends Oostende supporter message

Rangers-bound Fashion Sakala has thanked KV Oostende supporters after signing a pre-contract deal.

The frontman has penned a four-year deal with Steven Gerrard 's side and will join up with his new team-mates in the summer.

Having scored 13 goals this term in the Belgian top flight he has vowed to continue to give his best for his current club.

He took to Instagram to send a message to fans and hailed the side as "the European club that believed in me the most".

Sakala wrote after the move to Rangers was announced: "I have made a decision that I wish to share with all of you.

"When the season ends, I will have to say goodbye to the club where I have felt the happiest.

"It is time to open a new stage in my career.

"After three years during which I have lived great moments, I can only thank everyone who is part of this great club: management, coaching staff and my teammates who have helped me so much.

"I will never forget that they were the European club that believed in me the most. I am becoming a better professional and a better person.

"We have an exciting final stretch of the season where, as always, I will do my best on the field.

"I would have liked to say goodbye to all the K.V. Oostende fans in the stadium, with the stands full and show my gratitude for this wonderful time we spent together.

"THANK YOU for your support and your love at all times. I will always be a fan of K.V. Oostende."

Sakala yesterday revealed his excitement at moving to the Premiership after the deal was confirmed.

He said: "I am very much excited to start this exciting journey with Rangers. It has been one of my dreams, and I feel like this is a dream come true to join Rangers – one of the greatest clubs in the world.

"They have a great fanbase and a great history, and I believe we will share great memories together."
