Fashion flea market to bring together the best in vintage and local design

A brand new fashion flea market is taking place in Dublin on Sunday, January 30 and will bring together 45 vintage sellers, jewellery makers and local designers.

Taking place in The Well at Dublin's St Stephen's Green (just around the corner from Grafton Street), Fashion Flea will have plenty on offer for all different kinds of style.

The event's organiser Emma, who has over 12 years experience running markets in the city, said that what excites her most is building back up the rich market community in Dublin that many have been missing during the pandemic.

Speaking to Dublin Live about the upcoming fashion flea market, Emma said: "There will be loads of sustainable fashion, vintage sellers and a few closet clear outs with some lovely stuff."

Emma also revealed that vintage clothing favourite Harlequin Vintage, which used to be located beside Grogan's Pub but now operates online, will be at the market.

She explained: "They'll have a pop up there. It'll be great for them to see market lovers in person again. They do proper curated vintage. They always have lovely hand picked pieces."

Emma added: "I'm really looking forward to building back up that community you get with the markets.

"There are a few great sellers who won't be able to make it but hopefully they will when we get to do the market again. We have some outdoor ones in the works for summer.

"People have really missed the markets. We'll have a DJ and some prizes as well to make it more of a social thing for people to go to.

"We're all about supporting local enterprise and giving an outlet for new and established designers and traders.

"It's great to have them back and I think it's great timing. It will have been five weeks since Christmas and I think towards the end of January, people want to start doing things again."
