Fashion fans 'obsessed' with new £16 Asda dress - but it's selling out quick

Fashion fans in the UK are 'obsessed' with a new £16 dress sold by supermarket chain Asda - and it's so popular it even has its own Instagram account.

People have been flocking to social media to declare their love for the pink dress, which is in the G21 range and features short puff sleeves and a square neckline, as Birmingham Live reports.

The supermarket shared different ways to wear the dress on their Georgeatasda Instagram account and soon people commented in droves - describing the dress as 'dreamy'.

Fashion blogger Louise O'Reilly, AKA StyleMeCurvy, who boasts 136,000 followers on their verified account, said they were "obsessed", while another shopper said: "I defo need this dress!"

For £16, the dress is a bargain (Instagram)

Blogger DiggingForRubies told their 10,200 followers: "OK but @TheGeorgePinkDress SERVES! And it's only £16?! I'll take one in every colour!"

SophLRobinson commented: "I've bought this for Christmas day as I'm hosting it this year!"

The dress is currently sold out online, but is available to buy in some ASDA supermarkets (depending on stock, of course).

Asda George unveiled its Tis The Season to Slay It campaign last week with an advert that shows someone going home for the holidays and expressing their true self in New York Ballroom Scene style.

The campaign was made to support an LGBTQIA+ charity.

Meanwhile, Asda made headlines last month when they began selling Gucci clothes for as little as £12.

On Friday, November 26, George at Asda announced that it would be selling a range of pre-loved Gucci garms across its stores for customers to buy.

The unusual move coincides with the release of Ridley Scott’s blockbuster House of Gucci - which stars Lady Gaga and Jared Leto.

The catch? No one knows where they are - and you'll have to seek them out, with savvy staff hiding the treasures.
