Fashion DJs: Radio gets three-day fashion fest

Independent production firm Somethin' Else has secured a three-day Ofcom restricted service licence to broadcast a fashion station that promises to feature Naomi Campbell and Jefferson Hack.

Fashion DJs is being sponsored by jewellers Swarovski and will include a segment called A Picnic with Lily Cole and Jefferson Hack's Guide to What's New.

Campbell is also expected to take a turn at presenting on the Fashion DJs service, which will be broadcast on an RSL on FM in London and online through www.showstudio.com from today, July 9.

In addition to producing the radio content, Somethin' Else has also been commissioned to stream video footage of the shows as the Fashion DJs perform at Abbey Road studios. The resulting footage will be broadcast online.

Nicky Birch, the head of music radio at Somethin' Else, said: "We've got some of the fashion world's top names to design their own radio shows so expect the unexpected."
