Fascinating widget reveals just how 'Edinburgh' your surname really is

Ever wondered whereabouts your surname comes from? Well there's a fascinating widget which might be able to give you a pretty good idea.

All you need to do is bump your name into a search engine on website Named and you'll be able to see which part of the UK most people share your name – and whether you really are Edinburgh through-and-through.

A heatmap will indicate whether your namesakes are more Musselburgh and Morningside than Methil or Melrose.
