Farmer Wants A Wife intruder Kimberley has spilled all the juicy details about her existing relationship with Farmer Jason and revealed just how well they knew each other before filming the reality show.
The 35-year-old steel machine operator was selected by Jason’s sister Ashley in Monday night’s episode to take part in the experience, and instantly became a frontrunner when it came out that she had already met the dairy farmer a few years ago.
Basically, it’s giving Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels on MAFS, or Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy on The Bachelorette (never forget).
While the pair have yet to go into detail about their previous connection on the show, Kimberley has opened up to PEDESTRIAN.TV about their relationship timeline and answered fans’ burning questions.
“Jason and I first connected through a Farmer Wants A Wife Facebook group a few years ago, from memory around 2022,” she detailed.
“We chatted occasionally over the years, but it was never a relationship. We were simply two people who had connected online and stayed in touch from time to time.”
How well do FWAW‘s Jason and Kimberley actually know each other?
Kimberley confirmed that she and Jason never met in person before filming FWAW because she was based in Melbourne at the time, while his farm is in Coolabunia, Queensland.
“We discussed the possibility of meeting at one stage in Queensland, but it never eventuated as I wasn’t comfortable travelling interstate to meet someone I’d only spoken to online,” she confessed.
“As time went on, we naturally spoke less, and when Jason later mentioned he was planning a trip to Melbourne, I had already started seeing someone else. It was really just a case of timing and life circumstances not lining up.”

Is it fair that Kimberley is on FWAW?
Many viewers have argued that Kimberley has an unfair advantage compared to the other women on Jason’s farm, and even questioned if her arrival was a “set-up” because he was struggling to form connections with his contestants.
Kimberley said she can “understand” why some viewers might think she has the upper hand, but asserted that “knowing someone and building a genuine relationship are two very different things”.
“It’s also worth mentioning that I didn’t apply to come in late or ask for any special treatment. Being chosen as the family pick wasn’t something I had any control over,” she shared.
“Regardless of how I entered the experience, Jason and I still had to spend time together and work out whether there was a genuine connection and potential for a relationship. Viewers will just have to keep watching to see how everything unfolds.”
The season has just crossed the halfway mark, so we’ll know sooner rather than later if Kimberley’s existing spark with Jason ignites into something more.
