Farmer taken to hospital after tractor overturns in Fife

A farmer was taken to hospital after his tractor overturned on an icy road in Fife.

The vehicle flipped on a back road just off the A921 close to Dalgety Bay.

The road - that leads to Otterstcon Loch - was blocked for a number of hours while a large vehicle was brought in to move the tractor.

The driver was taken to the Victoria Hospital, in Kirkcaldy for checks following the terrifying incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a single vehicle, a tractor, on a minor road off the A921 near Dalgety Bay shortly before midday on Saturday.

"One man has been taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and the tractor has since been recovered."

The road was reopened just before 4.30pm following the tractor's recovery.
